New Classes: Flying Pole, Backbends & Trapeze
Flying Pole on Tuesdays
As of November 18 , you can finally practice Flying Pole regularly! In a small group, Lea will guide you step by step through this challenging and impressive discipline. In addition to the necessary strength training, you will learn beautiful shapes. And who knows, maybe you'll be flying across the stage at our next student show!
About Lea
Lea Fierke is a pole acrobat and dancer. She combines various dance styles with pole dancing in her performances. Weightless yet expressive, she performs either as a solo artist or in a duet with her partner. As a teacher, she has worked at the former IVA Berlin and passed on her experience to many young artists, for example at Cirque du Soleil, GOP Varieté Hannover, and the Karlsruhe State Theater.
Every Tuesday from 8:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Backbends on Thursdays
Since our backbend class on Tuesdays is regularly fully booked, we are delighted that Siona will be offering another class every Thursday at 7:45 p.m. starting in December. This class serves as preparation or complementary training for contortion. Siona has been passionately involved in yoga since 2015. In 2022, she expanded her practice by practicing contortion at the IMA, and in 2025, she completed her training as a certified yoga and flexibility trainer.
Single Trapeze is back!
Trapeze is one of the oldest and most impressive disciplines in aerial acrobatics. In this Thursday course, you will learn how to move safely on the trapeze, master dynamic transitions, and develop creative sequences. Beginners will work on basic techniques such as balance, static poses, and first swings, while advanced students will try their hand at dynamic and duo tricks. Whether you are just starting out or want to take your technique to the next level, this course is suitable for all levels thanks to the individual adaptation of the exercises.
All classes can be booked with IMA Credit Packages, Memberships, or as Drop-ins!

Current Class Schedule
💬 Still got questions?
How does the payment system with the credits work?
With our IMA credits, you can book all classes, workshops and trainings fairly and flexibly. Choose between credit packages or a credit membership and design your training just the way you want it!
IMA Credits offer you maximum flexibility: you only need ONE card or membership that you can use for ALL classes, training sessions and workshops. You pay different amounts of credits depending on the category. The bigger your package, the cheaper your training will be.
Which classes are particularly suitable for beginners in aerial acrobatics?
We offer special Intro classes for Aerial Hoop and Aerial Silks for beginners with no previous experience, in which you will first build up strength, learn the basics, and get a feel for the equipment. Once you are ready, you can move on to the Beginner classes. No Intro class is required for Trapeze and Aerial Hammock, so you can participate in the classes even without any previous experience.
Have you always wanted to try aerial but aren't sure what suits you best? Then our All Aerial class with Zinnia is just the thing for you! Here you can try out different aerial acrobatics props before deciding on one.
Do you offer Open Training?
Yes! In Open Training, you can repeat what you have learned in class independently without a teacher. You use our equipment and usually have 90 minutes for your training.
Our Open Training is available for members and package holders of the IMA. M & L members can use their contract credits for this. S Members or holders of credit packages can purchase Open Training credits.
